Is the old Windsor Arena being considered as a possible indoor village for the homeless?

Windsor Ward 3 Coun. Renaldo Agostino says he would like to see a community for homeless people in Windsor similar to the Avivo Village in Minneapolis, Minn.

Agostino and Mayor Drew Dilkens visited the city in April and toured the facility that features 100 secure tiny homes inside a large building that also houses wrap-around services such as addiction treatment and mental health services.

“This is not a tiny home village, right? This is a neighbourhood,” Agostino said.

“This is a community. … And in many ways, you know, that’s what people need. They need a village.”
