About
The National Indigenous Homelessness Council
The NIHC is a coalition of urban, rural, northern, and remote Indigenous-led organizations that provide circles of care, including homelessness support services and housing, to individuals who have identified themselves as houseless, homeless, disconnected, and without a place to stay. The NIHC is made up of Indigenous Homelessness Community Entities (IH-CE) and Indigenous Community Advisory Boards (ICAB) from across Canada to formalize and consolidate a unified voice on Indigenous homelessness, nationally. Members of the NIHC are known as knowledge holders and distinguished leaders and are foundational to Indigenous homelessness service delivery in urban, rural, northern and remote Indigenous communities.
