An overnight warming centre will open next week at a south London church, providing at least 30 people a place to rest and respite from the frigid cold. Ark Aid Mission and several local churches are partnering to open up the space at Holy Trinity St. Stephen’s Memorial Anglican Church near Southdale Road East and Wellington Road. The site is expected to begin opening its doors on Feb. 17 and be fully operational by Feb. 20, pending finalization of funding agreements with city staff, officials with Ark Aid said on Wednesday. The site will run seven days a week through April 1.
